And in canon, she's sent to a school for witches after getting arrested for a drunk and disorderly. I was thinking perhaps this as an alternative for the witch school? Or that she volunteered because she was trying to get away from her parents who in canon are neglectful at best and openly blaming Madison for their own bad behavior at worst, sort of a fresh start? If there's one thing there will never be a shortage of, it's dysfunctional parent/child relationships.
Any other thoughts are completely welcome, I love brainstorming stuff like this!
