ICly everyone's currently in a bit of a cold war with the ship's AI over access and permissions to both their own division's command systems as well as the need for redundancy in literally all of the ship divisions - informally there's a lot of cross-division work, since it's such a matter of survival.

For example Rin's lent a hand to Vash with some of the power systems requirements already, when they made a planet stop basically everyone got pulled in to do some sampling, etc.
