Hello crew! Our first month and second application period has passed and I wanted to check in and see how people are enjoying things so far. Any critique or things you feel like you're missing? Is the application clear, is the reserve system and approval working, are there typos or redundancies in info posts?

Is there anything you want to happen or want to add to the Mnemosyne? The AU Workshop is also always open to building ideas about the world and the ship.

How is the pacing? With the TDM and the Status Report being an event and a mini-event, do you also want mid-month events? As the calendar says they are planned, I just want to make sure it's not overwhelming and you'll feel like you're not able to keep up.

On a personal note I am having surgery on Wednesday so any NPC replies or Vash tags might have to wait until Friday.

Overall it's quite pleasant. The pace, by necessity, will be considerably slower because we're a small player base, and that's fine. Over time we can hopefully build a little to get some more momentum. I can definitely keep pace.

Monthly events for now might be best, though we could try mid-month. Maybe let us build a few more members before jumping into mini-events. I think the TDM works pretty well as a set-up event we can build off of with the existing crew.

Personally I really enjoy a slower pace for a more plotty type game so a +1 on the pace from me.

Agreed on the pacing as well. It's been just the right speed for me, and when I find I want things to go a little faster, I just attempt mutiny post my own event!

Agreed, it's nice to have chances to get up to optional hijinks if I'm looking for something in between events.

Oh that's actually a good idea. Adding a little something extra every other month might work well. Either way, I'm on board for what's coming.

In terms of what things I'd like to see in this game, I'd love to see things going wrong with the ship (they hit a space rock and the outside robots aren't enough to repair the hole, or there's a fault in the food synthesizer so everything tastes like fudge for a week, or L3TH3 gets a song stuck in her head and all the speakers play it for hours on end).

I'd like a little more information about their destination, too, just as flavor text really. Where did they think they were taking these colonists to, and how many of the crew were planning on staying there versus turning around and returning to Tellus a couple hundred years after departure?

The only timing thing I'd suggest is to maybe push the test drives out so that they better align with EMP. That post goes up the second Saturday of every month, and it'd be great for anyone who hears about the game from EMP to be able to come right over and jump into a test drive.

Thinking on it, might agree with the TDM, and maybe extending the app period a little? To make it easier on folks if they catch it late and need a few days to get samples done.

I mentioned on plurk but I like the mid-month event concept, and I'm down for extending that here and there if there's a bigger event that might need more time to play out!

If the crew remains this small it might be nice to be able to get a secondary specialty to round out the work, but right now it's a fun IC challenge figuring out ways to get around restrictions, and considering the game is still new on an OOC level it makes sense not to build out systems that could be complicated by a larger population.
