The bodies were sanitized to remove the amoeba that caused the disease, but at the same time... what little I know of biology? That shouldn't be possible and the bodies still being intact. But that's exactly what we saw.

Badly decayed, 20 year old remains with their remains utterly cleaned and sanitized. Minimal filth and the stench was ... less than it should have been. Pathogens and the like were kept clean, but it didn't bother to collect their tags and toss them out.

It was ... surreal.
